During his 7-year tenure in the NFL, former running-back Amos Zereoue would indulge
his teammates and friends with his West African-inspired cuisine, reminiscent of his
childhood in the Ivory Coast.
After his final NFL season with the Patriots, Amos decided to shift his focus back to his
first true love: cooking. At the coaxing of his teammates, Amos opened Zereoue; a West-
African, French-infused restaurant and bar, located in the heart of Manhattan’s Murray
Hill. Amos was soon introduced to who would become his restaurant’s Executive Chef,
Abraham Sow, and the two instantly connected. An Ivory Coast native himself, Chef Sow
and Amos shared a mutual passion for distinctive, savory, ever-evolving West-African
traditions and creations.
